White Sage Class - Hosted by PHLMAR
White sage (Salvia apiana), a native plant of California, has a long history with the native indigenous peoples of North America. As such, it stirs excitement and controversy. Join us as the owner of Bee Rooted, Amanda Plunkett, teaches the issues surrounding conservation, organic landscaping with white sage, aromatherapy, and ethnobotanical historical uses. In addition, there will be a White sage bundle making workshop and she will demonstrate how to make a salve. Amanda has two accreditations in organic land care and is a NAHA Certified Clinical Aromatherapist. She has an Associate in Arts degree focused on math and science and is pursuing a Bachelor in Arts degree for environmental studies. ALL White Sage involved has been privately grown.
